A Huge Thank You for a Great Year!
The Lakeshore Civitan annual Claxton Fruit Cake fundraiser was a tremendous success this year, thanks to the incredible support from our community.
For those who may not know, Lakeshore Civitan is a non-profit community service club with a focus on helping people with developmental disabilities in the West Island of Montreal. Our major fundraiser is selling the world-famous Claxton Fruit Cakes in November and December,and the profits are given out to different needy Montreal West Island organizations. All cakes are sold by volunteers, and all money raised goes to local charities, among them:
Lucky Harvest
Light a Dream
West Island Association for the Intellectually Handicapped (WIAIH)
Quebec Special Olympics
Generations
Citizen Advocacy
AVATIL (Training for Independent Living)
